Diversity
Diversity in learning means that I will have learners with varying backgrounds and varying classroom needs with respect to learning styles. It also means including multiple forms of assessment to accommodate those differences in learning styles. Student choice in projects will always be central to my teaching. Not being certain of exactly what my student population may consist of means that I need to be prepared with multiple forms of assessment. These multiple forms of assessment will take place as we reach to expand our thinking into the higher levels of Bloom's revised taxonomy. It is at these higher levels of learning such as applying, evaluating, and creating where the most student diversity is cultivated and where true authentic assessment takes place.
